Schools Superintendent Robert Avossa wants to hire his former boss to be an “executive coach.”
Peter Gorman gave Avossa his first job as a high-level school administrator nearly a decade ago. Avossa wants to pay Gorman $50,000 annually to give his staff a year of coaching.
“Dr. Avossa and his executive cabinet would greatly benefit from the opportunity to work with Dr. Gorman,” says the school district’s grant proposal to the Mary and Robert Pew Educational Foundation in Jupiter.
School Board members will be asked Tuesday to approve submitting the grant proposal. Gorman gets hired if the grant is awarded, Avossa said.
